Want to be successful?
That’s a dumb question, no one wants to be unsuccessful.
But… What the hell is success? Asides from accomplishing an aim or purpose (given by google.) Which, I guess it is.
Let’s take a deeper look, opening our eyes to the world. Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk… and every single person on the Forbes magazine. Role models, leaders of society, making a huge difference and creating value to other people. Rich and wealthy, given all their amazing traits. They are all hard-working.
Now take a good look at yourself. You are probably not as hardworking as them, but you put in a major effort in your goals. Maybe you aren’t the CEO of some billion-dollar company, and you really don’t have to be one either. And probably aren’t in any magazine.
Let’s take a thought about this, what do we call success. We are often influenced by leaders of the world, they have been setting the standards of success. Money, fame, influences.
I want to be rich, I want to be wealthy, I want to have this and have that. I’m sorry, this isn’t success, this is called the Shiny Object Syndrome.
Have you ever asked yourself, why do you want to be successful? — take a good time to pounder that into your mind.
Of course, we have a lot of general reasons — The Shiny Object reasons. But in the end, its biology. Because no one wants to live a miserable life. Success is an escape, it’s the light at the end of the tunnel. Its the only ember inside your darkness abyss. You either succeed and change your life, or you live like a dead fish wandering into the meaningless of nowhere.
— But, whoever told you that you aren’t successful.
I mean, you lived through another day. Didn’t you?
Sure, the chance of you suddenly die is ridiculously high and I hope that will never happen for anyone. But, it’s not impossible.
Whoever told you that you need money to qualify as successful? Whoever told you that you need followers, you need education, you need this and that. I am sure, those are great and all. But success is different for everybody.
But, whoever told you that you need to be successful to be happy?
Crying alone at the end of the night, suffering from all the pain and loneliness. Seeking for that little tiny hope of light within this cruel world.
How is that ever going to make you happy?
What is the point of being successful if you cant even find success in your life right now?
